Jamie Engesser has more than twenty five years of professional experience in the software industry with leading companies.  He has helped build 5 startups with the latest being Hortonworks/Cloudera.  He has focused on helping companies in a Board Member and Advisory capacity.  In his recent past, he has lead; Sales Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success and Cloud Teams as well as Emerging Products.  He has helped grow 5 companies from 0 revenue to greater than 1 Billion in revenue and in his most recent past, he was the Senior Vice President of  Global Technical Services Team at Cloudera.  Jamie also helped build and evolve Hortonwork’s product portfolio as SVP, Product Management. Jamie's sales and field leadership experience have helped in guiding organizations to identify their Enterprise Data opportunities.  This is all the way from Business Case, to Proof of Concept, to successful Project Delivery. Prior to Hortonworks, Jamie led teams at VMware, SpringSource and Documentum. Jamie has extensive experience spanning Machine Learning, Open Source, Streaming, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Application Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Big Data. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University.
